Use me gradually

It’s important to gradually ease into your first use of your weighted blanket by placing it over your original comforter and across your legs for the first 7 nights.

After you’ve gotten used to the weighted sensation, lay it over 1/2 of your body for the next few days.

When you’re feeling comfortable enough, you’re ready to use it over your entire body (without the comforter). Give it time, scientists say it takes 14-21 days to form a deep sleep habit!

Comfortable and calming

I purchased the twin-size weighted blanket to upgrade from the identical kids-size Luna blanket my child had been using. We love this one as much as the previous one. The indigo color is still deep and dark, and my child loves the weight.

Two points of interest: First, the twin-size measures 3'x5', so it's not as big as other twin-size bedding. Second, my child finds that the blanket is warm enough that they don't need any other blanket - and this is in the winter, so it might be too warm in the summer.

Also, weighted blankets are recommended to be 10% of body weight plus 1-2 pounds. Since this blanket is 10 lbs, kids should be around 80 lbs to use this blanket. Using average weights, this blanket would be appropriate for ages 8-10, but it may not be big enough if your child is tall. My child is a small 9-year old who is less than 80 lbs. The blanket weight works for them, but that's possibly because they were already adjusted to the 5-lb kids-size blanket.

Great for my child

My child sleep walks and has night terrors, this blanket has already started to help and it has been only two weeks of use. At first he said he did not like it, but two days later he said he felt very comfy with it )only covering his legs. Now the blanket is covering his body also and he is getting a better night sleep! Wish the kids size blanket had a cover to go over it though! Gave it a 4 since there was no option for a cover for this size. Any leads would be appreciated!

Snuggly!

What a cozy blanket! I feel like I’m in a warm bath without the water when I lay under this blanket. So warm, soft and relaxing

This is a great blanket. My son sleeps so much better, stay warmer and he says it is cozy. I wish it had a removable cover.

Smooth comfort in a small size

I bought a Dream Weaver blanket in the 5 lb size for each of my kids to help them calm down before bed. I’m very pleased with the quality so far. They are very smooth and evenly weighted, and the cotton cover feels pleasant. This is a great portable throw but also big enough to be comforting to both my 9 year old and 11 year old. I would recommend this size as an affordable and versatile option if you don’t need a full blanket on the bed.
